Motivation. There are a number of ideas in rationality that seem to me so important and useful that it's worthwhile systematically exposing the general population to them. Off the top of my head, these might include general ideas about better decision making, cognitive biases and information hygiene, and somewhat more technical topics like probability/Bayes, utility, information theory and game theory. And yet, I wouldn't know about many of these without either picking up a book about decision making, or taking an undergraduate course with statistics content or going to a rationality camp!
