Rebutting Every Objection To Giving To The Shrimp Welfare Project

  • If a dollar given to an organization has a sizeable probability of averting an enormous amount of suffering and averts an enormous amount of expected suffering, it’s very good to donate to the organization.

Wouldn't it just be a lot more reasonable to only buy shrimp from farms that stun the shrimp before killing them? I could then save my dollar for a cause where I cannot just proceed to economically optimize for a fix. In the limit, this would save just as many shrimp and donate just as much to other causes that people find personally meaningful.
