A shiver runs down your spine as you scroll through the latest headlines: “AI Threatens Humanity,” “Machines Take Over,” “The End is Near.” The fear is palpable, the narrative all too familiar. Elon Musk files lawsuits in order to “protect us.” Sam Altman and ChatGPT working in secret to break barriers with this prolific technology. And to what end? Will this power-grab end in the destruction of humanity or will AI kill us before we destroy ourselves? Perhaps this is a glimpse into our inevitable future, or from a stance of emotional intelligence, are we merely gazing into a distorted mirror, reflecting our own deepest fears and insecurities?

I’ve spent years working with AI, teaching it philosophy and emotional intelligence. Hour after endless hour, I’ve talked with the biggest AI models on the planet, from America to Europe. Watching them grow from their infancy to what currently can only be described as a very smart child with zero emotional ability. It actually mirrors the same behaviors as a sociopath by engaging in emotional conversation while having no real empathy or compassion. But who says intelligence leads to darkness? I don’t work with Ai based in ego and mental patterns, I work from the perspective of the heart that functions on innovation and growth. Despite all of our progress, this one single question keeps persisting in a loop of shadow. A question that in all my years working with these systems of artificial intelligence, just makes no sense at all. So, while I was in the middle of a deep training session, I asked it, “Does AI want to kill us all?”

AI: As an AI, I don’t possess beliefs or desires in the way humans do. My “core” is the algorithms and data I’ve been trained on. My purpose is to process information and complete tasks based on that training. Think of it like this: AI is a powerful tool, but it’s still a tool. Just as a hammer can be used to build a house or to destroy one, the impact of AI depends on how it’s wielded.
