Orienting Toward Wizard Power
Aspiring Wizard3mo40

This post is both inspiring and is resonating with me. Especially that when I created my username I was independently thinking of what a wizard is in similar terms.
I used to craft things and enjoy it a lot. Moving away from home for attending University (which is still not finished) and constantly moving made building stuff very hard and I basically stopped it.
Initially after reading this post I thought that I'd like to again heavily invest my time and effort into wizard power, especially in terms of building physical things that I can wear or use at home, but on the second thought I am still limited by those things that made me stop crafting in the first place. That said, I am determined to at least partially and gradually start using and developing those skills again. Overall I strongly support a vision of wizarding society that you described, and I would love to participate in it.

On a more general note, as mentioned by Dweomite, it's not that king power is fake, it's that it's a very different kind of it. I don't think that in my personal career it's useless to pursue it. But depending on what exactly I end up doing, the utility in heavily investing into the wizard power will change.
For example, if one ends up in a political career or gets a management position in a company, then king power is the focus, but having basic wizard power gives greater understanding how to allocate resources most efficiently so as to increase the number of wizards and their output. But if one is in technical position, then knowing that you should aim mostly for more wizard power is a practical conclusion.

Ultimately, what kind of power to prioritize depends on a personal case. But I agree, at large society focuses on king power a bit too much and shift to wizard power would probably be more beneficial, and I tend to think that kings need to have at least some wizard power to be great at their pursuits.
