I feel this is the strongest case for quitting, so long as you have the media lined up to cover your departure.

And how many have gone on to try and start new organizations and failed? there's a pretty big sampling bias involved here. They'll be 'stealth' on linkedin until it works out or they join somewhere else. What do you think the ratio would be for people who worked at the labs in any capacity? I'm not confident to say, but I'm feeling like 1 in 30 will have made a sustainable organization. Probably important to identify what counts as "the labs" vs the much broader number of positions where you could be tasked with something harmful.

There are definitely timelines where privacy and privacy imbalance were eliminated completely and AGI development prevented, possibly indefinitely, or possibly until alignment was guaranteed. (obviously/insignificantly, bare with me)
