I’ll update this comment at a later date but a lot of what is described about olfactory, vision, and taste sense changes is almost a direct mirror to my own experience.
The allusion to the Illustration of the visual field, by Steven Lehar. Describing reality as being less flat is such a unique way of describing things that I hadn't considered before. I've definitely recognized life as feeling more "real" but I've considered that to be attributed to my decreased experience with dysphoria and not with the alteration of my senses. As of now I'm going to have to mediate on this for a bit.
