There are some people who are accelerationists and are not at all in the red tribe. I've met people who are radical leftists who want AI to go as fast as possible so that current day powerful actors have less probability of using AGI to concentrate power around themselves. I don't believe that regulations addressing racial bias would really move these people, as they see bigger issues (permanent power lock-in).
Goes without saying that these people don't consider rogue AI a real probability. They are also not the same as the people who think AI is just a water-wasting bubble.
