I have similar desires and discovered SnapzBack this week. It works better for me than SmartSessions. Doesn't exactly check your boxes but it does make it easier to work in a "one-workstream-at-a-time" way and switch relatively easily between workstreams.
This would benefit from an example. I think this technique has a lot of potential for use with LLMs, and an example would make it a great supplement to a Claude Project's knowledge base.
