"It is said that meditation is strength training for the mind." Calling meditation "strength training for the mind" seems inaccurate to me. There are some aspects of some styles of meditation that could be interpreted in this way, though mostly I think "skill/technique training for the mind" would be more accurate as a generalization. Less 'gaining more mental strength' and more 'making more effective use of the mental strength that you already have'.
