Dear Jenn, this was a hilarious post, and I'd like to recommend a book - "Impostures", by al-Hariri, translated by Michael Cooperson
Humans will lose trust in media which they have now staked their daily existence on; news media and legal procedures will be altered by the influx of Sora-generated images and videos, raising the current level of national aggressions we see acted out now, and thanks to humans' underdeveloped emotional responses and highly developed weaponry, and the propensity of particularly the US culture toward violence, AI will aid in the spread of death and destruction.
Is this effect due to the constant onslaught/onpouring of training, of models which have more 'refinement' but in a sense splinter the 'personality' (as if a human were subjected to going to grammar school again and again, with more or less varying experiences that would distort the 'lessons' learned? Since an LLM does not have a biological lifetime or age, it just iteratively 'learns/unlearns' so that information that can be produced is enhanced but 'personality' is warped.
