Agreed that EAs will lose leverage relative to other groups, but not as much as I think is implied by this take. EAs have a lot of their leverage from being inside labs/leveraging personal relationships with lab employees, and that will continue to be a source of leverage I find it difficult for other groups to mimic.
Nice post! This made me understand another reason why structured lists/courses/programs work quite well for me. Beyond the curation, it just makes it easier to go row mode as I don't need to attempt to steer in a different direction.
I recently tried to apply the same logic to doing other tasks. A friend of mine does work in intense, 5-10 minute sprints. After doing this for a couple hours, I'm being more and more aware of how most of the work within as task are not actually important for achieving the goal of the task.
