Right - so our venue has had to close this weekend so we are meeting at the Pizza Express in town (near We The Curious) at 1930.
There's £100 "behind the bar" for food, so should turn out a bit cheaper than going on your own.

For the second attempt (first attempt called off for non-Effective Altruism related reasons), we are going to Advance Retreat, a video game bar in Stokes Croft, that also serves alcohol. Combining alcohol and video games can only go well.Entry is £4.
There's lots of food venues around Stokes Croft, so you may wish to get a bite to bring into the venue.
If you're not sure what EA is about come along and have a chat with one of our friendly regulars. Or don't, and come and talk about anything at all.

I've heard on the grapevine that commenting on this post will alert all the attendees, so here goes.
Low chance of rain forecast and if today's any example, then it should be perfect weather for meeting outside and ordering a frankly obscene amount of UberEats. Bring suncream, sunglasses, frisbee, but also a jacket if it might get cold.
Suggestions we've had from other meetups have been that everyone brings a cool item which you might want to talk about, or a small game/cards.
This year's ACX Meetup everywhere in Bristol, UK. We're combining it with the EA Bristol group as that's the most active and happens on the same day. You won't have to talk about EA or discuss your focus area, people of all stripes are coming.
