I had this book, this was a wonderful read, thank you. My mother had a copy when it was new and I read it, liked it, cooked a few meals from it and then forgot about it. In 2010 I inherited a copy the book from my mother-in-law and found it fascinating again. I learned a few cooking techniques from it, but not nearly as many as mentioned here. My wife thought it was pure rubbish - probably because it belonged to her mother - and tossed it. A loss I still regret. You really can do more with a microwave oven than just reheating meals and making popcorn.
Reading this makes me want to find another copy - and not show it to my wife.
