Would it be possible to have the far UVC lamps pointed upwards (to protect people) if there were sufficient air movement?  Perhaps very near the exhaust of air filtration systems?  Or, would that degrade effectiveness too much?

Could degradation be offset by having more upward-pointing lamps?
