You’re invited to our free retrospective and planning workshop! Last year, our approach touched on themes like “Phenomenology of Uncertainty” for the coming year. This year, we take more of an “elemental lens” to our backward- and forward-looking reflections.
When: Thursday, 22 January 2026, 12-2pm PST / 3pm-5pm EST / 9pm - 11pm CET
Across cultures, ancient cosmologies were crafted in the language of elemental patterns and correspondences. In the West, most familiarly: earth, air, fire, water (and various ideas of spirit). In the East — metal, water, wood, fire, and earth.
While we no longer use these systems to construct our understanding of the universe, elemental imagery and phenomenology are extremely common in introspective practice and suggest that these systems can still be psychologically evocative and even powerful.
In this workshop, we will explore how the ideas of elements can suggest new ways of understanding the prior year and help us orient skillfully towards the year to come.
Thanks for taking the time. I'm based in Europe so my replies might be delayed.
I get what you're saying. Happy to have the relevant part of the post described like that at a distance as shorthand. Memory reconsolidation is good stuff and had a big influence on me.
My immediate reaction is that I don't think the memory reconsolidation paradigm has a monopoly on describing means/process of change outlined above, so for at least that reason, it doesn't feel appropriate for me to endorse just calling it that.
My intention was to paint a picture by combining a handful of major elements in the post (there's more than the reconstellation part) in ways I'd not seen before, aiming more at having more of an animating effect that can come from more/better/alive/different handles and frames for things. My writing let me down if this post implied that reconstellation is a totally novel idea!
This is a linkpost from the theoretical section of our newly launched Reconstellation program. We're hoping this is a unique collage of intuitive and animating frames that are helpful for you. Please let us know if they are!
Reconstellation is our shorthand for a critical movement in the personal development process.
To "constellate" is a Jungian term describing a patterned "lighting up" internally – getting “stirred" or "activated" or even "triggered" – in ways that are usually familiar based on previous experiences.
We haven't decided that yet! But if we do, it will be with the other free recordings of public events here in the Supercycle.org community space. (Registering and viewing these videos will always be free)
Our past workshops like “Phenomenology of Uncertainty in the New Year” and “Spring Cleaning: Inducing Chaos & Reclaiming Ritualization” explored the potency of combining seasonal timing with structured reflection.
Staying on theme, we'dlike to invite you to our “Finding Balance & Opportunity in the Holiday Flux” workshop!
