You’re invited to our free retrospective and planning workshop! Last year, our approach touched on themes like “Phenomenology of Uncertainty” for the coming year. This year, we take more of an “elemental lens” to our backward- and forward-looking reflections.
When: Thursday, 22 January 2026, 12-2pm PST / 3pm-5pm EST / 9pm - 11pm CET
Across cultures, ancient cosmologies were crafted in the language of elemental patterns and correspondences. In the West, most familiarly: earth, air, fire, water (and various ideas of spirit). In the East — metal, water, wood, fire, and earth.
While we no longer use these systems to construct our understanding of the universe, elemental imagery and phenomenology are extremely common in introspective practice and suggest that these systems can still be psychologically evocative and even powerful.
In this workshop, we will explore how the ideas of elements can suggest new ways of understanding the prior year and help us orient skillfully towards the year to come.
