Space Center Houston is the official visitor center for NASA's Johnson Space Center. Exhibits include multiple flown spacecraft, multiple unflown rockets, moon rocks, and a full-scale Space Shuttle mockup.
We'll meet up out front by the ticket counter around 10:00 AM. (The 14th is Flag Day, so look for the guy in the excruciatingly American polo.) We'll probably head in around 10:30 when accounting for stragglers and ticket lines, stay for a few hours, and get a late lunch afterwards somewhere nearby.
If using a navigation app, be sure to put in "Space Center Houston", not "Johnson Space Center". The latter will try to take you to the main gate for JSC employees, and the security guards will have to explain that you're in the wrong place.
Note that there is a World Cup game in Houston at noon, so if you're coming from anywhere near downtown or the Astrodome area, be sure to adjust your travel times accordingly.
