For this ACX meetup, let's try doing a lightning-talk session!  Lightning talks are an opportunity to give short, informal talks on a subject you have some knowledge and interest in.  Emphasis on the ‘informal’: you should know your subject, but don't feel obligated to have a polished presentation.  If you’re interested, sign up here.

Important note: the event will be at a venue in SoMa (so it'll be indoors).  The venue manager would prefer I only share the location with attendees.  So please let me know if you would like to attend, either via email or by RSVPing on this page, and I will send the address.

As examples, here are some past topics from Jacob Kopczynski (the North Oakland meetup organizer): how complicated the process of organizing fresh food for airplane flights is, your experience volunteering for a local political campaign, a video game you were designing and writing.

Details:

• Talks are short, maximum 7 minutes.  I will set an audible timer.
• We'll leave a few minutes for Q&A at the end of each talk.
• The venue will be at a venue in SoMa (so it'll be indoors).  I will publish the specific address closer to the event.
• Slide decks are fine, but optional.  Let me know in the signup sheet if you need a projector / whiteboard / something else.
