The next monthly discussion meetup is this coming Saturday, Nov. 2 @ 2 PM (see below for location etc.). We’ll be discussing the factors that drive voting behavior. Just a few examples: how much is voting decided by …

• personal interests/benefits versus general/societal benefits
• issues / ideology versus emotions/tribes
• time/effort / cost of voting versus obligation/signaling

Please feel free to come even if you’re worried it will be awkward, you won’t fit in, or you aren’t the “typical person who comes to a Rationality meetup.” We are welcoming (albeit occasionally argumentative)! And remember, readings/media are optional (i.e. no homework necessary).
