Come on out to the ACX (Astral Codex Ten) Montreal Meetup. We will be hosting a discussion on how the internet has impacted society.

Our exploration will cover the internet's effect on collective consciousness, its future role, and the potential effects of AI.

Recommended reading:

reality collapsed for me in my boys garage in like 2008 (7m read) - A man reminiscences on how the perception of reality has transformed from real-life events to a fabricated online version.
The internet is already over (27m read but you can skip the preface) - Sam Kriss asserts that the internet's decline is imminent, as people are unable to maintain their interest in the online world, and its discourse fails to have a significant impact on reality.

Doing the reading is recommended but feel free to come to the meetup even if you forget or don't have time to.
