[If you haven't come since we started meeting at Rocky Hill Cohousing, make sure to read this for details about where to go and park.]
We're the regular Northampton area meetup for ACX readers, and (as far as I know) the only rationalist or EA meetup in the Pioneer Valley area. We started in the 2018 Meetups Everywhere event and have been going ever since, though had a dip during the COVID era. The meetups get a nice mix of regulars, people who come once in a while, and now and then brand new faces. We usually get 4-6 people, and occasionally as high as 7-8, especially during the biannual ACX Meetups Everywhere event. We aim to meet every other Saturday evening for most meetups; most planning happens in our Discord on the #scheduling-chat and #scheduling-voting channels (see below for link to an invite).
Please join us for rationalist discussion, drinks and snacks at:
DATE & TIME Saturday, October 3 2026, 6:00 PM – roughly 10:00 PM
Extra Info For Potential Attendees (quoting Scott):
If you’re reading this, you’re invited. Please don’t feel like you "won’t be welcome" just because you’re new to Astral Codex Ten, demographically different from the average reader, or hate ACX and everything it stands for. You’ll be fine!
You don’t have to RSVP or contact the organizer to be able to attend. RSVPs are mostly to give organizers a better sense of how many people might show up, and let them tell you if there are last-second changes.
Meetup announcements go out via an email list; feel free to email me at alex@alexliebowitz.com to get on the list. Just let me know if you'd like to be a CC or BCC. There is also aDiscord that some of us use for follow-up conversation, last minute questions about logistics, etc--here's an invite.
