When Leo Slizard thought up the nuclear bomb, should he have told anyone? Would the world have been better for him dragging that secret to his grave?

​This is not just a question of a history that never was, dilemmas just like the ones Slizard faced have appeared in the very recent past and continue to appear with alarming regularity. Is there a technology or an innovation too dangerous to build, too dangerous to even imagine in public?

​We'll discuss the concept of infohazards and some almost-examples in the field of biosecurity. Then, we'll debate whether or to what extent we should be mindful of it.
