Let me make this clear... I am an atheist, I'm an atheist because I value the practice of skepticism. skepticism in all things. It's nice to question things, too. So that's why I'm contemplating on the "nature of god." there are, in my opinion, several ways god could "exist." even as it's rather obvious they don't.
Being scientifically correct, let us make clear one certain notion. Humans are more than the flesh that makes up a human. More than the thoughts in your head that you hold onto like a record. These notions aren't new, certainly, but they point to an important truth. Humans are creatures that can be "beyond" themselves. so back to the topic on hand.
Billions and billions of humans... the number reads staggeringly if you actually contemplate the amount. most people don't contemplate it though, do they? So let's go through the trees, loosely, so to speak. Me - 2 parents which means 4 grandparents which means... I don't think I'll insult your intelligence by lining up exactly how high of a number we can get to using that equation, and that's just with 1 person(me). My personal theory, if God existed, might well be that they're a collection of the left-overs of... well... humans when they die. If you're familiar with trees, then perhaps you're aware of that one fun fact: "300 million years ago, when trees died, they didn't rot. It took 60 million years later for bacteria to evolve to be able to decompose wood." Life is obviously not natural to this universe. So why are we to assume, that the universe can even recycle everything "human." we've been met with the fact that the universe for a while couldn't even recycle trees.
