The fellowships are open to current and incoming undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, from Boston-area universities, and working professionals who will be in Boston during the upcoming academic year. We’ll meet weekly, in small cohorts facilitated by a grad student or upperclassman with experience in AI safety research or AI policy.
Both reading groups will have an in-person option in Cambridge as well as a virtual option. In-person cohort meetings will be 2 hours long, with lunch or dinner provided. Readings will be completed during the meetings (so no outside reading is required). Online cohort meetings will be 1 hour each, and participants will be expected to complete the readings prior to each meeting (~1 hour of reading per meeting).
