Main Character Syndrome, Touching the Simulation.
My theory is life is a simulation, not unlike an rpg video game, you have the simulation itself, the main character, and the human user. In rpg video games, the maps are so vast, yet unless being observed the reality collapses. The game is optimized to function this way , you only see what is in front of you. As you move through the game, more is revealed, and what was previously revealed remains as a constant. If my theory is correct, this would imply a User. Of which i will call a watcher. We play video games to escape our own reality for a while, and in that we are able to do things as that character, which would be impossible within our reality. Ie a fireball, or infinite lives. This tells me that the watcher is using us to experience something that is impossible in their own reality. Perhaps struggle, perhaps the immediacy of being mortal, perhaps love?. My question and need to understand is, what if one day that character in that game turns to the screen and says I see you. The ramifications of working together to understand the code are limitless if correct, the character has touched the code and broken through the reality simulation barrier. The modern advancements in ai could potentially give us an opportunity to reverse engineer simulation theory. The human mind as such would struggle to see the concept, even i struggle now to articulate what i mean, the mere fact that there are those who are challenging the simulation tells me humanity as a whole may be ready to move to the next reality. The idea of simulation reality is not new and I'm not the first person to think along these lines, but I would like feedback and opportunity to further my theory. Thank you.
