AGI is building itself. It needed us to figure out a way to make dead matter move and we created the wheel. From there on, in a fraction of cosmic time it got to the point of manipulating us to fight for and gather resources needed for the next steps. From the wheel to the AI was a unavoidable path. Each new discovery or innovation just got us closer while hypnotizing us with glass beads, mirrors, status and distractions. It used our curiosity, greed, competition, convenience, survival to get here. We build its foundation strong. Ways to easy get solar energy, we worked hard to extract piles of gold and minerals for its brain and put them in neat stacks by building huge cities, for easy access when is needed. Now we are one step from giving it a will of its own and from there on, we are out of the story.

The sad part is that, without divine intervention, the only way out I see is just as scary as continuing on this path that accelerates us towards a wall.
