What did you end up choosing to study with data science? I'm in a bootcamp choosing a topic and I have been brainstorming ideas like crazy recently, and would be happy to discuss this more with you if you are interested.

I am considering switching my career to more data science/machine learning (possibly, AI safety if I happen to be good at it). As a start, I want to complete a data science project (to add to my resume and to practice new skills). Is there anything like the Effective Thesis organization (or at least a website or forum or blog) where I can find ideas for the projects that would be impactful? There are many people switching to data science and doing a couple of projects for this purpose, so this should be relevant not only to me.
