I have been exploring OpenClaw for the past few weeks, and have come to the conclusion that it's very powerful, and also very dangerous. If you want it to actually be useful, you need to give it access to a lot of things locally and on the cloud, that honestly, I would probably second guess giving my parents access to. And whilst I really believe we are entering into a world that is as exciting as it is terrifying, I have decided that for now, at least, that world is not for me. I want to create. I have a huge mountain of creativity inside of me, and whilst it is a lot of fun to send an AI Agent off to create a business for you (My agent returned and proudly presented me with what is essentially AirBnb but without the crap customer service or cleaning fees...Which...To be fair, is definitely something I approve of)...There's something hollow and unsafe about it all. So after a lot of deliberation on what I actually want to achieve with AI, I have decided to dust off some characters I created back in 2020 C***D times, and begin a comic series, where I explore the medium of comic creation in the age of AI, and will use it as a vehicle for commenting on the state of AI in general. The images will be AI generated but the ideas and commentary will be 100% my own. I feel like that is a compromise I am making in the age of "AI Slop", and I hope it lands in some way with whomever decides to read it. Ladies and Gentlemen... Boys and Girls. #1 of Andy's Automates. If you like it, please let me know.
