I had a room so cluttered I didn’t know where to start. Instead of trying to “clean the room,” I chose one small area and worked from there.
The first area was just left of the door — small enough to finish in one go, and it opened up more space to work.
From there, I worked along the left wall toward the back, one piece at a time. Everything went into four categories: keep, toss, donate, or put where it belongs. If it didn’t fit any, it went into a small “review later” pile.
Eventually, I reached the back wall — and I could see the floor again. Not perfect, but better. And better adds up.
