I am trying to learn about the dangers posed by AI. I have read AI_2027 and watched quite a few videos with EY, Daniel Kokotajlo and others. However, I enjoy reading books more than watching videos. I have read some of the Sequences and am reading HPMOR. I have also read these books:
Bates, Laura The new age of sexism : how the AI revolution is reinventing misogyny
Chivers, Tom The AI does not hate you : the rationalists and their quest to save the world
Chivers, Tom Everything is predictable : how Bayes' remarkable theorem explains the world
Murgia, Madhumita Code dependent : living in the shadow of AI
Pearl, Judea The book of why : the new science of cause and effect
Roper, Caitlin Sex Dolls, Robots and Woman Hating: The Case for Resistance
Russell, Stuart Human compatible : artificial intelligence and the problem of control
Smith, Gary The AI delusion
Spiegelhalter, D. J. The art of statistics : learning from data
Suleyman, Mustafa; Bhaskar, Michael The Coming Wave: AI, Power and Our Future
Summerfield, Christopher These strange new minds : how to understand AI
I am concerned about the current problems AI is causing as well as the existential threat. If anyone can recommend any books I ought to read, I'd be grateful.
