(this is for a school argument project)

Has Ai gone too far? We ask this question frequently and try to raise questions on what the limit of Artificial Intelligence should be allowed to develop to. A big fear of Ai is that it could eventually rise up and take over the human population, but that's just fiction for movies…. Right? It could be a reality one day if we do not keep a close eye on Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence has gone a long way from the usual robot, just recently Boston Robotics were able to program two robots with Artificial Intelligence to navigate these terrain blocks and essentially do parkour and even brush off their shoulder at the end (https://youtu.be/tF4DML7FIWk) they were successfully able to navigate some terrain obstacles and even jump over and do a backflip and land it.

AI is still in the early stages of development but the progress people have made is groundbreaking, but is it too much? Should they be careful? I believe that those movies that involve robots taking over the world are just a work of fiction, real people who develop artificial intelligence always have added ways to deal with robots becoming too sentient by adding usually some sort of kill switch, plus we'd never give a robot full intelligence to do whatever it wants, because what is the purpose of giving a robot full intelligence when we're only gonna have them able to do specific tasks on their own.

Recently, an ai software has begun to be very popular, this ai is called DALL*E, and it creates an image based on what text you type into the box (https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-use-dall-e-ai-art-generator) I could type in let's say an astronaut playing basketball and it will create that image, this is a prime example of ai and the non-scary version of ai that wants to take over the world they always show in movies

Overall, there is overwhelming evidence that robots will never be able to take over the world and just because of how movies portray AI doesn't mean that is how they would act in real-world situations, AI is an amazing advancement in human technology, and who knows, we might have robot maids with AI that would make you a cup of coffee in the morning as well as some eggs and toast, the future is very unknown for AI but the applications for it are endless and will benefit the human race.

Suggestion: If your teacher is the type to find it amusing (as opposed to threatening consequences for plagiarism or academic dishonesty), give the prompt to GPT-3 (students have free credits) and submit whatever it tells you

Here's a sample (prompt: Has AI gone too far? A persuasive essay for school, temperature .7):

The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into our lives has been met with both excitement and reservation. AI has been used to automate mundane tasks, improve medical diagnoses, and even create artwork. However, as AI continues to develop, the question of whether or not it has gone too far must be asked. The potential of AI is undeniable. It has the capability to revolutionize the way we do things and improve our lives. AI can help us make decisions faster and more accurately, allowing us to be more productive. It can also help us automate mundane tasks, allowing us to focus on more important work. AI can also be used to improve medical diagnostics, helping to detect diseases earlier and provide more efficient treatments. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and AI is no exception. AI has been used to create algorithms that can be biased and even used to manipulate people. AI has also been used to create autonomous weapons, which could potentially be used to carry out unethical acts. Additionally, AI has the potential to replace human jobs, leading to a rise in unemployment. For these reasons, it is important to consider the implications of AI before its use. We must ensure that AI is used for the betterment of humanity and not to cause harm. We must also ensure that AI is not used to replace human jobs and that it is used in a responsible and ethical manner. In conclusion, AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we do things and improve our lives. However, it is important to consider the implications of its use before it is employed.

Pretty basic but much better written than OP.
