Hello friends,

It is with pleasure that I'm inviting you to the first of many LessWrong Meetups I'll be hosting (free, duh!)

What is LessWrong? Good question! The answer is here.

When: Wednesday, July 10th 2019, 6:00pm-9:30pm

Where: L'Infini

Language: The meetup is usually FR/EN with live translations as necessary.

Questions? Contact Yohan: 514-562-7682 ; 1806992[at]gmail[dot]com

Format: We meet and start hanging out at 6:00pm. At around 6:45pm, I'll do a quick introduction of what LessWrong is, why I'm starting these meetups again, and in what way they may differ from previous meetups in Montreal. After which, we'll do short eye contacts with each other (opt in). This will be followed by a short presentation of the science of procrastination from Luke Muehlhauser's (lukeprog) sequence The Science of Winning at Life. We'll then break in discussion groups and slowly merge back together to discuss what we've learned.

Why come? Because there will be an ice cream and sorbet bar (read: free food!)

Okay fine, I'm convinced. Any other reasons? You get to discuss with like-minded people in a fun, low-key social space with some structured interaction, where new and non-new community members can mingle and have interesting conversations. Everyone is welcome.

I'll arrive late, is it fine? Yes.

Anything else I need to know? Yes. L'Infini is a sober space, so no drugs/alcohol consumption inside.

Can I invite friends? If you think they'll get along with the rest of the folkx, yes. You can share this email with them.

See you all very soon,

Yohan
