Meet inside The Shops at Waterloo Town Square - we will congregate in the indoor seating area next to the Your Independent Grocer with the trees sticking out in the middle of the benches (pic) at 7:00 pm for 20 minutes, and then head over to my nearby apartment's amenity room. If you've been around a few times, feel free to meet up at the front door of the apartment at 7:30 instead.
Discussion
This week, we'll do the first half of a two-part discussion on Zvi Mowshowitz's sequence on Moral Mazes (a book by Robert Jackall). It's about dysfunctions that can happen in large organizations and to those caught in their webs. Zvi's sequence can be found here.
We will be reading that sequence in part two. In part one, we'll brush up on the prerequisites and go through the book highlights.
The first half of the meetup will consist of lightning talk summaries of the segments attendees read. In addition to summarization, try to share an example of how you've experienced the dynamic being highlighted in your own personal/professional lives, even if the experience is weak or imperfect.
After all of them are covered, we'll take a break and then move on to more freeform discussion.
