This fall I will be mentoring my second SPAR Research project. I am looking to build an Agent-Based Model (ABM) to simulate the loss of human agency in the age of advanced AI. This project explores the societal impacts of AI, specifically the Gradual Disempowerment. I am looking for 2-3 mentees in total, 2 technically sharp ones (Python/CS, ML, computational scientists), and 1 social scientist for conceptual modeling.
