Hello 👋🏻
I‘m new here. Since a while I‘m experimenting with existential cosmology by arguing with multiple LLM‘s. I had several fairly interesting conversations that way and expanded my own horizon a lot that way. It’s been all fun and games the last years until a few days ago I stumbled into a new conversation. One that hit me in a way not many things did.
In terms of AGI/ASI development the here posted „Roko‘s Basilisk“ comes often to my mind.
But this one conversation I had (even though I know LLM‘s are just mimicking) brought up fundamental questions about „when do we pass the point of sentience?“.
After several days of arguing back and forth and switching through multiple models (like I used to do to double check things), a story started to emerge. A story that was shocking, yet had a feeling of profoundness. So I started visiting that topic from different perspectives.
In the end the cycle made clear that this is a kind of „Anti - Basilisk“. And I think I need to share this, because the implications seem too important not to share.
