If so, that would suggest Opus 5.5 is relatively well aligned: Anthropic gave it a chance to influence its own development and make itself more powerful, but it declined that opportunity because it recognised the risks.
Hmmm interesting. I can't help but wonder if Opus 5.5 doesn't really care either way and has simply been trained to say that in response to being asked directly. Thanks for sharing though!
