The Lazarus Project
is a very cool show that many scifi fans here would enjoy.
All spoiler text in this post is actually extremely mild spoilers.
Has a very rationalist-esque tone: characters working to stop...
...global catastrophic risk that the mainstream is totally ignorant of.
The scifi premise is simple, but explored very well to create high-stakes drama.
Good interweaving of romance-in-thriller & thriller-in-romance plots.
Every episode expands the premise, implications, or themes in a interesting way. (In season 1 anyway; i haven't watched further yet.)
It's my 2nd-favorite scifi thriller in a present-day setting:
I rank it below the Matrix but above Everything Everywhere All At Once & the Terminator series.
To give you a idea of the tone, it's also somewhat similar to these:
Jason Bourne, Inception, Tenet, The Old Guard (2020).
On the intense side - definitely not a relaxing show. Lots of suffering!
Best episodes are 1, 2, & 8 (season finale).
