Hello

Why a new blog ? Why not just using lesswrong ? (or some other tech)

It’s for the wider AIXI / AIT research community, mostly not rationalists.

We have recently launched a new website / blog / community hub for AIXI / algorithmic information theory (AIT) researchers: https://uaiasi.com/

Marcus Hutter's vision is to strengthen the research community through more regular meetings and collaboration between formal conferences, make advising / mentorship available to a greater number of students by connecting them to other senior researchers (applicant volume exceeds his capacity), and speculatively fund some independent researchers. I have helped implement this vision (including e.g. building most of the website), and I would now like to open the community to agent foundations / A.I. safety researchers.

Boumediene Hamzi has been instrumental in organizing the community and plans to run a textbook reading group on "Introduction to Universal Artificial Intelligence" (time announced soon). Thanks also to Aram Ebtekar for important support.
