There are a lot of beautiful places on the planet that you can't get to without a car. If you think looking at photos of them is just as good as visiting, the value of driving to them might be 0. But if you think that having experiences in nature is part of what makes being alive worth bothering with at all, or if you think that forming full-sensory memories of the planet as it is today is an important component of happiness if you later become immortal, an unconditional ban on using cars to get places is unlikely to improve your quality of life.

Activities which cannot be done without driving are a straightforward test of whether the rule "rarely drive" or the rule "never drive under any circumstances" is better suited to one's personal value system.
