Meetup : West LA Meetup - The Resistance (Game)

Unfortunately, I'm out of town this week so I don't think I'll be able to make it. Hopefully, I'll see everyone at the next one.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, you should consider time-limiting your rounds in The Resistance. Especially the first few times a group plays -- so that people get more chances to play different roles.

I am going to have to agree to time limiting the rounds, while the discussion was fun, I totally woulda won if you guys didn't have time to pick appart my hasty yet brilliant gambit. I am sad though, the meetup was awsome and I had lots of fun. That is the worst outcome for me as I will likely never be able to attend again due to schedualing.

When: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Wednesday, April 11th.

Where: The Westside Tavern in the upstairs Wine Bar (all ages welcome), located inside the Westside Pavillion on the second floor, right by the movie theaters.

Parking is free for 3 hours.

Activity: We will play a classic game of deception and deduction, The Resistance. There will be unmoderated discussion before game play, and afterwards we can talk about the use of games and other methods for training our heuristics.

Don't worry if you don't have time to read anything, or even if you've never read any Less Wrong! Bring a friend! The atmosphere is casual, and good, intelligent conversation with friendly people is guaranteed.

I will bring a whiteboard with Bayes' Theorem written on it.
