This is actually my first real post here, and I hope that I do justice to all the principles of this community.
The Problem
We live in a fast-paced society where the value of knowledge and truth scales exponentially with our technological progress. Especially in the era of AI and "Fake Culture," autonomously generated and factually secured knowledge is gaining more and more importance.
At the same time, we are all exposed to the stress of "effectiveness" and "productivity." Who still has the time to conduct real, deep-dive research? To search for and validate information or establish facts? Almost no one.
And that is exactly why people use Deep Research Engines. Google, OpenAI, Perplexity, and others offer fast and "easy" ways to carry out deeper searches effectively and quickly.
But do they actually meet the requirements of what we truly need? I think not. And here are the reasons:
False or Hallucinated Citations and Sources: Tools like Perplexity throw around impressive-sounding, miles-long lists of sources—and when you try to click them, you realize they either don't exist or are factually incorrect.
The False Security of "High-Quality" Searches and Cost Throttling: All providers make big promises, but in the background, sources are "cut" or inferior models are used. You only get the full power with truly expensive subscriptions.
Functional Hallucinations: Specifically, OpenAI Deep Research repeatedly generates false facts by thinking it can perform certain actions (e.g., generating specific things or using tools it can't actually access). This destroys trust and unsettles users.
The Gatekeeping of Truth: On one hand, "subscription" compulsions are created; on the other, there is content censorship or censorship of sources. A truly open-ended search looks different.

From the start, it was clear which core ideas my software should represent:
No Subscriptions, No Paywalls: Bring Your Own Key (BYOK), pay only for usage. Done. No ifs, ands, or buts.
A Source Scraper and Search Mechanism Worth Its Name: One that doesn't just get me what's in AI-generated SEO dossiers, but pulls the "dirt" out of the internet to find the essence. That’s why it's called Lutum Veritas—pulling the truth out of the mud.
No Censorship: Search for what you want. Find answers. Without "permission" or compliance rules.
Open Source and Deterministic: Transparency by design.
Superior Depth: Deeper, more detailed searches with results that go significantly beyond what the market has offered to date.
The Self-Criticism
I am NOT claiming that my software is perfect. It is not. I am also not claiming that it beats every other tool in every single discipline. But I claim this: I have built a standalone BYOK Open Source Deep Research tool that performs searches for a fraction of the cost of regular subscription or API Deep Research.
It offers significantly deeper and more detailed analyses than any other tool. In addition to a regular mode, it has an "Academic Deep Research Mode" which delivers analysis reports in a previously unknown depth and evidence level, often reaching over 200,000 characters. And I claim that because of this, and the way I implemented context passing, it recognizes significantly more "causal connections" than the big players on the market.
There will be bugs. There will be things that don't work perfectly yet. But I am on it and developing it steadily.
However, further development needs testers and feedback. And this is where you come in. I invite every developer, researcher, or just interested person: Test the software. Challenge it. Challenge me. So that I can make the best possible version out of it—partly to satisfy my own standards, but also to provide the world with a tool that truly delivers what it promises.
