If I were thinking about quitting an AI lab, I'd probably start by DMing Jacob Coxon on Twitter. I've never talked to Jacob, so I'm just speculating, but I have to imagine he'd be happy to help.
Most obviously, you could talk to Jacob about your plan to quit, make sure you haven't missed any important considerations, and get some encouragement and moral support.
In addition, Jacob is a natural Schelling point for AI lab quitters. I'd guess that he's the most likely person to be able to connect you to others who are considering resigning from an AI lab. Quitting and going to the media alone seems pretty scary, but you may find it easier to quit alongside other people.
(One small note of caution: if a bunch of lab employees resign around the same time in a similar way with no explanation, this could feed rumors about a "psy-op". These were always kind of silly IMO - of course if you quit your job to send a message, you will think hard about how to spread that message! But a clear way to avoid this is just to be upfront about how you decided to quit, who you talked to, etc. Making an official joint statement with other lab employees as you quit seems like a good idea anyway, and this also makes it very clear that you coordinated around quitting and aren't trying to hide that fact.)
