I was interested in the example you link to at the end of the article, but it didn't seem to me like there was enough specificity (especially in the red underlined concepts which you cited as background--I expected them to be links to their own full length posts instead of just half-sentence descriptions) to actually get everything working without individual oversight.

Also a lot of the claims seemed very specific in a way that I am skeptical if they are universal--and no citations or other discussion of how you know any of this was provided.

These are all excellent points, thank you!

That's because they are supposed to be, when I get around to writing them.

After you see a bunch of people execute meditation instructions, and yes in some cases without being told at all what to expect, and they all come out of it with weirdly similar descriptions of subjective experiences...

Well, at some point you just accept that meh, reality is like that. Btw, you'll find overwhelming evidence for this effect if you look into texts of spiritual/meditation traditions.

That's also very, very valid and I'm sad that I can't fully make good on this, simply because I have more urgent things to do in this world than sitting and writing down stuff I already know.

However, you'll be surprised how much of this is Direct Experience(TM), combined with minimal, low-complexity models.

You'll find evidence that this process (or its variants) works in other places, though it might sometimes have weird names and a bunch of woo on top of it (search e.g. "releasing Kundalini energy", haha).

I definitely understand this, but I would suggest that you may be undervaluing sitting and writing down stuff you already know.
