This is an interesting linkpost, and the article likely points at major problems in American society. However, as far as I have read it, it is likely^[1] overly individualistic. I am preparing a more detailed response to the article to which you linked. Additionally, I would be grateful if you copied the text to LessWrong so that anyone could comment on potential errors without bothering to copy the entire text to LessWrong, as Kokotajlo had to do with Vitalik's criticism of the AI-2027 scenario.
