Fitocracy is a fitness gamification social site for logging and tracking workouts.  It has an RPG like system with quests and leveling up.  It makes it very easy to make public commitments to a workout plan and provide each other with motivation and advice.

I shouldn't really have to go over why you need to be working out if you plan on living until the singularity :)

I'm still pissed that they don't let you delete accounts. I emailed their customer support and never got a response.

I am already a Fitocracy member so I can't use the invite code, right? I'd still join the LW group on Fitocracy - but I couldn't find it in a search. Can you say what the name of the group is?

"less wrong" with the space. also make sure you're on the group page when you search. the normal search only works for usernames.

Are there any general-purpose anti-akrasia gamification social sites? I recently found Pomodorium but it is regrettably single-player.

Joined. I'm a little disappointed I can't define my own exercise types (handstand tuck-ups? handstands not against a wall?) but I guess I can just enter them as "Other Bodyweight" and maybe that's good enough.

Already on it, now joined the group. :)

Would be interesting to have a similar programme for rationalist exercises. Say a low points score for reading articles, then more for exercises.

Nice, joined. I really need a more regular workout again. I precommit to experiment with the site today.

Why are you using a shortened url?

that's the url fitocracy supplies for group invites.

alternately you can use the add code on the fitocracy landing page: Y3JQP
