Join us on the longest day of the year for a secular celebration of the summer solstice. As the sun reaches its zenith, we will celebrate warmth, light, and community. Make sure to stay until 8:00, when we will march to the sea, singing and drumming, to watch the sun set!
If you like ritual and can only attend part of the day, I recommend coming in for the second half since the sunset ritual is the single biggest "everyone doing a thing all together" moment. (Maybe arriving around 3-4pm if you don't have a full day of Outdoor Stuff in you)
This event is for everyone in the rationalist, secular, effective altruist, and adjacent communities. Please share the invite!
This event is intended to be kid-friendly for all ages
A variety of events will occur throughout the afternoon, and as the sun sets, we will form a musical procession to the sea.
A $25 donation is suggested but not required to cover the cost of the park, insurance, food, and other supplies. All are welcome regardless of ability to contribute.
If you would like to help organize events or create props (like lights or banners) to help us celebrate, please post in the comments or email an organizer at.
