Meaning: "on the pareto frontier, and also fairly extreme on each dimension"
Other possible words: altipareto, celsipareto, high-frontier. Related: knee pareto
Example: "hey claude, please find some people who are high-pareto for being a successionist about AI and who are involved in advancing AI capabilities"
This feels weird to me. The Pareto frontier is already the extreme, by definition. Does it mean something like "balanced Pareto" where trade-offs are roughly equal in some sense?
It's just a subset of the pareto frontier, "in the middle" of the surface. So e.g. the most successionist guy in the world might be someone who works at a bakery (well, that seems unlikely somehow), i.e. has nothing to do with AI capabilities research. He's then on the pareto frontier because no one dominates him on both AI successionism and advancing AI capabilities. But he's not high-pareto, because he's not high on advancing AI. Sutton is clearly high-pareto. If, say, Amodei is the one most advancing capabilities, he's pareto, but not high-pareto because anti-successionist (unless he actually is successionist, contra public statements etc.).
