I find this compelling but also am wary that any number of compelling specific axis could be candidates for something like this. (Oh, I actually just found the "reactions" affordance, and realized this post wasn't about a third up/down axis - now I like it even more). What are the pragmatics that make a standalone post a better form factor for this or that thought / argument / etc ? Better linking indexing? More circulation or more likelihood to end up in syndicated circulation via surfacing on the frontpage at later dates? Anything else?
