There are, in fact, two rationality-centered communities in NYC. The other is called Ergo. While not officially affiliated with Less Wrong, many of the people there are familiar with material here. But some reason there's not a whole lot of cross pollination between the two groups.
We think this is a little silly. So organizers from the two groups have arranged a joint public meetup this week, at Madison Square Park. Come on down this Thursday, August 16th at 7 PM. (We'll be just south of 26th street, at the Admiral David Farragut monument)
Come down to meet, greet and swap rationalist origin stories!
