Can anyone give an update?

This is going to be AWESOME. I've got it on my calendar. Awaiting details!

Thanks for taking the initiative to organize this!

The main question still open is how to handle the accommodations. There are probably more of us than the total couch capacity of NYC's Less Wrong contingent. Sleeping bags and a large enough room/basement would probably work, though. Who's willing to provide space, and for how many?

I think instead of worrying about finding space for people to crash, we should just distribute Modafinil to all the participants. Problem solved.

I'm in the Cambridge area, and haven't been attending meetups, but this seems like the most awesome possible way to start. What is the mailing list/point of contact to work things out with Cambridge meet-up guys?

Aw damn, I'm traveling this month. I hope this a huge success that everyone will want to repeat some time! :)

Where in NYC are we meeting? Also, any interest in people arriving Friday evening instead? :D

Meeting point TBD, but both busses drop off in a similar area of Manhattan.

There is a contingent of DCers who plan to arrive on Friday..

The Cambridge and DC groups happened to be simultaneously considering a trip to visit the world-famous NYC group. After a bit of coordination, we are proud to announce the East Coast Super Fun Rationalists Sleepover Party Extravaganza!

The general plan is to arrive on the afternoon of the 9th, and leave on the (late) morning of the 10th. This is still in the planning stages, so the schedule, accommodations, etc. are still being worked out.

If you're in the Cambridge or DC groups (and have RSVPed), these are being worked out for you, otherwise, either assume you have to work this out on your own, or send me a PM with your email address. You'll probably have to find your own transportation, but I can help with suggestions.

If a lot of people not attached to groups come, it would be great if someone stepped up to coordinate those people.

If you're in a group (Toronto?) and think your group might be interested in attending, please send me a PM with your email address.
